It’s one of those Fridays where you open all the windows + listen to John Mayer non-stop. In other words, it’s a top-notch Friday afternoon.

- Speaking of John Mayer, his latest hit revolves around something we all love…Lush bath bombs. For a song about bathing, it’s actually pretty catchy.
- It’s not the first time that artist Mari Andrew has made an appearance on this blog, and—spoiler alert—it will not be the last! Mari draws a weekly cartoon for one of my favorite blogs, A Cup of Jo, and today’s sketch was particularly relevant for me. It’s a funny thing…since my mom’s stroke, I’ve just been kind of off. Grief is weird like that, huh? I’ve been working on speaking more truth to myself, which includes Scripture + good ol’ fashion self-encouragement. (I particularly loved the “child” mantra below!)
- It’s tempting at times to feel isolated, particularly during tough or transient seasons, (of which, I currently reside). But for me, the opposite has happened—throughout the past few months I’ve realized how very loved and known I am by my Dallas, Nashville, and Nebraska friends. I’m so very thankful for them.
Here’s to a beautiful weekend!
