Long live the king and love live Fridays in the fall.
Here are some of my favorites from the week:
- Anyone else obsessed with Vogue’s 73 Questions? I can’t get enough of these interviews. (I loved Reese Witherspoon and Blake Lively‘s interviews, and a new one was released of Emma Stone this week.) If you’ve never seen a 73 Questions video, think Jimmy Fallon interview + an episode of MTV Cribs. Sounds weird, but it’s absolutely brilliant. Also, how great is the interviewer, Joe Sabia? I did a little research on the dude and turns out he not only interviews the celebs, but was also the mastermind behind the entire concept. Read more about Joe/the 73 Questions process here.
- I successfully conquered the State Fair and it’s fried delicacies this past week. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the State Fair of Texas is probably my favorite thing about Dallas. From the food (deep friend chicken + waffles!), to the attractions (they had a Taylor Swift exhibit this year), to the people watching (a personal favorite pastime of mine), the State Fair simply can’t be beat.
Check out this big bubba. A whopping 1,500 pounds of pork right there. - My mom and dad are the coolest. This past weekend, they headed to Kentucky so my mom could run in a relay race that made stops along the Bourbon Trail. Mom ran and Dad drove a 15-seater van full of runners. So proud of them both!
- Can we all agree that there’s just something special about being with a friend you can be yourself around? Last weekend, my friend Kaelee and I had planned on going to a Nelly concert, but it fell through last minute. So, we headed to Trinity Groves, ate giant pieces of cake, and listened to Nelly songs on our phones. Time with this friend is always goofy, fun, and good for the soul.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!
